An Urgent Medicine Package Collected at Istanbul Airport and Delivered the Same Day

Sometimes an urgent delivery begins before the courier even receives the package.

This story began when an international traveller needed an important medicine package collected directly from Istanbul Airport and delivered safely to another person in the city.

The customer was waiting inside the airport terminal and needed a clear, practical way to meet our courier. Istanbul Airport is extremely large, with different arrival and departure levels, multiple entrance doors and strict vehicle access rules. Without a precise meeting point, even a simple handover can become unnecessarily difficult.

The delivery therefore required careful coordination from the very beginning.

Finding the Right Meeting Point at Istanbul Airport

Our first priority was to determine exactly where the customer was waiting.

The customer initially explained that they were near a restaurant on the arrivals level. We asked for a clear meeting point and, if possible, a current photograph of the location. This would allow the courier to identify the correct area quickly and avoid delays.

Because the courier was travelling by motorcycle, entering the terminal was not the most practical option. The motorcycle would need to be parked, the courier would have to pass through airport security and there would also be a risk of parking difficulties or penalties.

The customer moved to the departures level and shared a live location. Once the correct level and meeting area had been confirmed, we directed the courier to that exact point.

The customer also sent a photograph so the courier could recognize them without difficulty.

This small step made the collection much faster and safer.

A Secure Airport Collection

Our courier reached Istanbul Airport in approximately 35 minutes.

Before the handover, we requested identity confirmation from the customer. This was an important security measure because the courier was about to transport a personal medicine package on the customer's behalf.

The identification information was used only to verify ownership and support the transportation authorization if the courier encountered a police or official inspection during the journey.

The package was then handed directly from the customer to our courier.

There was no unattended drop-off, storage locker or unknown intermediary.

As soon as the handover was completed, we confirmed to the customer that the medicine package had been collected safely.

Everything had gone according to plan.

Coordinating with the Recipient

The next stage was arranging the final delivery.

We contacted the intended recipient to confirm when and where the package could be handed over. At first, we did not receive a response, so we informed the customer and asked whether they could also try reaching the recipient.

The recipient later requested delivery at a nearby shopping centre rather than the original location.

Because our courier had not yet completed the delivery, we were able to adapt the route and confirm the revised meeting point.

This flexibility prevented an unnecessary failed delivery attempt.

It also allowed the recipient to collect the package at a location that was more convenient for them.

Throughout this stage, the customer continued receiving updates. They knew that the package had been collected, that we were attempting to contact the recipient and that the delivery location had been adjusted.

Same-Day Medicine Delivery in Istanbul

The medicine package remained under the courier's direct responsibility throughout the journey.

The expected delivery window was communicated in advance, and the courier travelled directly toward the agreed meeting location.

Because the package contained medicine, it was handled carefully and was not opened, transferred or left unattended.

The courier met the recipient at the updated location and completed the hand-to-hand delivery successfully.

We immediately informed the customer that the item had arrived safely.

The full process, from airport meeting coordination to final delivery, was completed on the same day.

The physical delivery itself was only one part of this service.

The operation also required:
