REAL CUSTOMER STORY

Lost Watch Recovered from Istanbul Airport and Returned to Japan

Being told that your lost item has been found at Istanbul Airport is a relief — but for an international traveller, there is still another question:

How do you actually get it back?

Asako Honda faced exactly this problem after leaving an important watch at Istanbul Airport.

She was already away from Istanbul and the recovery procedures were unfamiliar. Ana Kurye assisted with the local process and, once the watch was ready to be released, collected it from Istanbul Airport.

Watch collected from Istanbul Airport Lost and Found

After collection, the watch was transferred to our office in Istanbul.

Because it was a delicate personal item and had an international journey ahead of it, particular attention was given to the packaging.

Instead of relying only on cardboard wrapping, the watch was secured inside a hard protective cover before shipment.

Watch packed securely for international shipping to Japan

The prepared parcel was then taken to DHL and sent from Istanbul to Japan.

Later, Asako confirmed that the shipment had arrived safely.

Her Google review described the experience in her own words: she said the communication was kind and quick, that she was guided through procedures she did not know, and that the watch had been carefully packed before arriving safely in Japan.

This real case demonstrates an important part of Istanbul Airport lost property recovery.

Finding an item is only the first stage. For travellers who have already returned home, the item may still need to be collected locally, protected for transport and sent internationally.

In this case, the journey started with a lost watch at Istanbul Airport and finished with the same watch safely back with its owner in Japan.
